March Madness, Fabric Style!

Today is Worldwide Quilting Day, the perfect opportunity to announce a new contest!

It's that time of year again…when half of the U.S. is glued to their television/computer/phone watching the Men's (and Women's) college basketball tournaments, and the other half could care less. Regardless of which camp you fall into, we're hosting our own bracket here at Benartex.

That's right…help cheer your favorite Benartex or Kanvas fabric line on to victory!

Here's how it works:

First, we need to set the field of competitors. Between March 16^th and19^th, you can nominate your favorite Kanvas and Benartex fabric collections.

• Each person can nominate up to 3 fabric lines.
• You can nominate any collection currently featured on our website, though we encourage you to choose more recent lines that are still widely available.
• Share your nomination either on our Facebook page or as a comment below this blog post. Please nominate only through one social media outlet, not both.

After nominations close at 11:59 EST on March 19^th, we'll use your suggestions to create a 16-fabric bracket. We'll post the bracket on March 21^st and the ''games'' will begin!

From March 21^st through April 8^th, fabric collections will ''compete'' against each other. Check our Facebook page each day so you can vote for your favorite in that day's game, and then visit the blog to see the updated bracket. Like the basketball tournament, we'll work down from 16 collections to 8, to 4 and then to the final 2.

On April 4^th, we'll announce the two fabric lines in the running for the title of Fan Favorite. Voting will be open on Facebook from April 4^th to April 7^th, and the winner will be crowned on Monday April 8^th.
