Free Pattern Friday: Painter of Light Panels

Great panels deserve great quilts; there's so much more you can do than just add a strip border or two. Heidi Pridemore has designed a free quilt pattern (available on our website) for each of the Thomas Kinkade panels. The panels take center stage, but the pieced designs around them using the Stone Cottage prints add so much!

Stone Cottage: The Supporting Cast

If you loved the Thomas Kinkade panels we showed you but were wondering what fabrics to use with them, we've got the answer! The Stone Cottage collection is what we like to call the "supporting cast" to the Thomas Kinkade Painter of Light prints. A variety of ivory, blue, red, and beige/brown mini basic prints, these plaids, stripes, florals and textures are the perfect complement. They also combine beautifully on their own or as accents to a larger focal print in your stash!

Painter of Light...on fabric!

Even without the blog post title above, you'll likely recognize the artwork you're about to see. It's the work of Thomas Kinkade, a beloved American artist well known for his idyllic painted scenes. We've been working with Thomas Kinkade Studios to bring some of this famous painter's art to fabric. The Thomas Kinkade Painter of Light collection features four iconic seasonal panel scenes, as well as a few scenic coordinates. Gorgeous!

What would you do with these panels?
Stay tuned this week as we share a coordinating collection of mini prints, as well as free quilt patterns featuring these panels.
