Autism Awareness Month and Green Farms

April is Autism Awareness month, and weighted blankets are something that can be very comforting to autistic people.  Rob Appell of Man Sewing shares a tutorial for making a weighted blanket using Greta Lynn's adorable Green Farms collection for Kanvas. Check it out!

  1. When doing a larger quilt I found it easier to start sewing and filling from the middle and working out toward both ends.

  2. I use water soluble bags. Some doggy poop bags are or you can order online. Less chance of hitting a pellet. You can sit outside or in an area easier to clean than kitchen or sewing room.

    1. What an ingenious idea! I think I might have some around here somewhere. I have to make a trip to Harbor Freight to get the glass beads and then I can get working on making one.
