April is Autism Awareness month, and weighted blankets are something that can be very comforting to autistic people. Rob Appell of Man Sewing shares a tutorial for making a weighted blanket using Greta Lynn's adorable Green Farms collection for Kanvas. Check it out!

When doing a larger quilt I found it easier to start sewing and filling from the middle and working out toward both ends.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic idea! I have been making weighted blankets and have never used this idea. Can't wait to try it. Thanks!!
DeleteI use water soluble bags. Some doggy poop bags are or you can order online. Less chance of hitting a pellet. You can sit outside or in an area easier to clean than kitchen or sewing room.
ReplyDeleteWhat an ingenious idea! I think I might have some around here somewhere. I have to make a trip to Harbor Freight to get the glass beads and then I can get working on making one.
DeletePlease don’t use poly pellets. Those things end up af the beach and in the ocean eventually
