How Much Is That Doggie?

Move over, pink and blue...the hippest palette for baby quilts is lime, teal, and orange! Designer Terrie Peterson created this easy play quilt using the kid-friendly prints from Rose Ann Cook's Joey the Shop Dog collection. Made from simple half-square triangles, this quilt comes together quickly--perfect for your favorite puppy-loving little one!
"How Much Is That Doggie?" designed and quilted by Terrie Peterson;
featured in McCall's Quick Quilts magazine, August/September 2017

We asked Terrie to tell us more about her quilt design.

What attracted you to the fabric line?
I love this fabric line!  What little boy or girl doesn't like a cute puppy?  These are the perfect fabrics for a baby quilt.

Do you have a favorite print in the collection?
I really like the lime doggy print. It gives the baby quilt a fresh color, away from the traditional blues and pinks.

Can you tell us about your design?
I wanted to use simple blocks to create an over-all larger design.  The fabrics in this line went so well together; they were an easy choice!

What do you like best about the quilt?
I love the overall look and feel of a fun baby quilt.

What do you envision the quilt being used for?

This quilt is definitely going to be a baby quilt for my new grandson!  Our family loves dogs and we want to carry on that tradition with our grandchildren.

  1. It's high time those pastels moved over! Bring on the color for those babies! Teal, orange and lime are such fun colors together and will surely outlast those baby years for a child!
