The coordinating wallet (and wallet string for attaching);
we're sharing the pattern for this below!

Materials
1 fat quarter each Santia Navy, Alameda Navy, Estrela Lime, and Alameda Turquoise
10” x 14” piece of batting
Four 1-1/2” x ¾” swivel clasps
1 ½” D-ring
One 9” zipper

Cutting/Preparation
From the Santia Navy
Two 4-3/4” x 9” pieces (for outer wallet)

From the Alameda Navy
Two 1-3/4” x 9” pieces (for lining)
One 1” x 12” piece (for wallet string)

From the Estrela Lime
Two 4-3/4” x 9” pieces (for lining)
One 2” square (for tab)

From the Alameda Turquoise
Two 1-3/4” x 9” pieces (for outer wallet)
One 1” x 16” piece (for key string)

From the batting
Two 7” x 10” pieces (optional)

Make the Zippered Wallet
1. Sew one 1-3/4” x 9” Alameda Turquoise piece lengthwise to one 4-3/4” x 9” Santia Navy piece. If desired, back with batting and quilt. Trim to measure 6” x 9”. Make two of the outer wallet.

2. In the same way, sew one 1-3/4” x 9” Alameda Navy piece lengthwise to one 4-3/4” x 9” Estrela Lime piece. Make two of the wallet lining.

3. To create the inner D-ring tab, press the 2” Estrela Lime square in half wrong sides together. Open up and press edges in to center fold. Press and refold on center line. Stitch both long edges using a 1/8” seam. Fold in half and slide the D ring onto the loop. Sew open ends together to secure. Align the raw edge along an outer wallet unit aligned with the horizontal seam, with the D-ring pointing toward the center. Stitch to secure.
4. Sandwich one edge of the zipper between an outer wallet and lining piece and stitch, using a zipper foot. Press outer wallet and lining away from the zipper and topstitch to secure. Repeat on opposite side of zipper with remaining outer wallet and lining pieces.

5. Open the zipper halfway. Sew a few stitches over the loose zipper ends to secure.
6. Fold all pieces in the finished direction and trim to 9” x 6” using the horizontal seams of the outer wallet pieces as a guide.
7. Re-fold so the outer wallet pieces are right sides together on one side of the zipper and the lining pieces are right sides together on the opposite side of the zipper. The zipper teeth should face the lining side and the zipper seams the outer wallet side. Pin to align side seams. Sew around all four sides with a ¼” seam allowance, leaving an opening along the lining side for turning.

8. Trim corners diagonally, turn right side out through the opening, and stitch the opening closed. Tuck lining into the outer wallet.

Make the Wallet & Key Strings
1. Fold the 1” x 12” Alameda Navy piece in half lengthwise, wrong sides together. Unfold and then fold the long raw edges in to the center fold line. Re-fold on the original fold line so all raw edges are enclosed. Topstitch along the open edge as close to the edge as possible. Tip: The zipper foot is great for holding folds in place as you sew and allowing you to sew right up to the edge of fabric layers.

2. Fold one end over 1” and stitch in place. Pass the end through the secure end of the swivel clasp and fold over another 1”. Sew in place to attach the swivel clasp. Repeat on opposite end of the string to add the second swivel clasp.
3. Make the key string in the same way using the 1” x 16” Alameda Turquoise piece and two swivel clasps.
