If your lifelong dream is to be an Olympian...

Have you ever wanted to be an Olympic athlete? That's right! We're giving you the chance to participate….in the Benartex Sewing Olympics Competition!

Part 1: Sewing Entries
Send us a photo of a project (a quilt, tote, pillow…anything goes!) that you've stitched using Benartex, Kanvas Studio or Contempo Studio fabric, and we'll enter you into the "competition."

If you don't have a finished project made from Benartex, Kanvas Studio or Contempo Studio fabric, don't worry; there's still time! Grab some of your favorite prints and get started (maybe even one of the mug rugs from last week's hops!). Sew while you watch figure skating, alpine skiing, and even hockey, and you'll be finished before you know it.

Sewing Entry Details:
·      Submitted projects should use mostly Benartex, Kanvas Studio or Contempo Studio fabrics. Please specify which line(s) you used in your email.
·      Small projects should be photos of finished pieces; quilt tops don't need to be finished; a photo of a pieced top qualifies.
·      Multiple entries are welcome; each photo submission will count as one entry to the Sewing Olympics drawing.
·      Email photo submissions to socialmedia23 @ gmail.com. Entries must be received by February 23, 2014.

Don't have a project to share? No worries, you can still enter the giveaway by participating in our Olympic Trivia!

Part 2: Trivia Entries

We'll be posting trivia questions on both the blog and our Facebook page while the Olympics run. Test your knowledge of Olympic trivia, symbolism, records and more!

Trivia Entry Details:
Send your answer for each trivia question to socialmedia23 @ gmail.com (with the Trivia Question # in the subject line). Each correct answer counts as an entry to the Sewing Olympics giveaway. Entries must be received by February 23, 2014.

After the Sewing Olympics ends on February 23, we'll randomly choose one gold, one silver and one bronze medal winner from the cumulative sewing and trivia entries we receive. Those winners will receive fabric prize packages.
Good luck!

Trivia Question #1:
When and where were the first Winter Olympic games held?

**Please do not leave your answer in the comments section below. Email it to socialmedia23 @ gmail.com (with Trivia Question #1 as the subject line) and all correct responses will be entered in a chance to win in our Sewing Olympics Competition. **

P.S. If you entered any of our Mug Rug Blog Hop giveaways, we'll be announcing the winners both here on the blog and on Facebook on Tuesday, February 11th.
